It is considered that the crisis caused by the corona virus COVID-19 is universal in economic history and science so far, because it has affected the whole world in terms of its cause and speed of occurrence, as well as its consequences on a global scale.
The crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the structural weaknesses of the world economy, threatening to deepen the divisions between the formal and informal economy, the public and private sectors, and between large (more resilient) and micro / small (vulnerable) enterprises.
The fragmentation of the labour market was especially noted, which has been reflected in the form of very low employment rates to date. Thus, the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has deepened the overall economic relations, which are currently suffering consequences of unimaginable proportions.
Countries in the region of Southeast Europe are also facing a crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus pandemic. All this makes this region particularly vulnerable to sectorial risks. Moreover, some economies face employment problems, fiscal risks, etc. Even in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is still not possible to predict recovery from the pandemic crisis. The consequences are still being seen in the private sector, the trade, services and agriculture sectors.
In that respect, by sharing ideas and experiences through critical thinking, the Seventh Scientific Conference ICEI 2021 aims to provide answers and a set of macroeconomic measures to combat the crisis COVID-19.
Coronavirus also changed the way the Seventh International Scientific Conference is held. This means that the Conference will be held as a video conference.
This crisis will be a great challenge for economics and profession, and based on the experience
previous conferences, we expect the presence of a large number of eminent scientists, researchers and experts in the fields of economics and business as well as scientists from other fields, whose research would contribute to finding solutions for successful coping with COVID-19 pandemic
The International Scientific Conference will receive significant media coverage.
